My wife and I bought a pair of these to use in our motorhome, having tried them out at the NEC show Oct 2022. The cycles arrived within a week and I found really easy to set-up. The company were easy to deal with and seem quite customer focussed.
We tried them out last week on a longish ride locally and were really impressed. We live in a very hilly area and these bikes made easy work of the inclines, I just adjusted the settings from 1 to 3 (of 5 power settings – 5 being the highest) and it went up a steep hill with ease, a hill that previously I would struggle to get up, and my wife would have had to have dismounted previously. It was a real pleasure to go out for a ride. It was the first time I have used disc brakes on a bike, and was reassured by the firm stopping power. The tyres seem quite chunky which led for a stable ride, and the front shocks were useful for going along on an uneven canal tow path, it made the ride much more comfortable.
We particularly wanted a collapsable cycle as we would prefer to store them in our motorhome garage (boot locker) when on tours. These cycles collapse really quickly and with ease. The locking mechanisms for unlocking and locking in place are well engineered and give me full confidence that they will not collapse while riding.
Another handy feature is the bright led built on riding lights, which take their power from the main battery, saves having to buy and mount re-chargables.
In all, we are both really impressed with the cycles, after our longish ride the led power bar indicator had not moved (still shown as fully charged) and the cycles were comfortable to ride in powered mode or in non-powered mode. The Shimano gearing was easy to use, and the cycling was easy on the flats to give us some exersize, although if you didnt want to you could just run on the powered ride (so long as you rotate the pedals) and the cycle will fly along at about 15 mph.
The price point was really good too, as most continental versions start at double this price (we looked when we were in France and Belgium).
